The Development of INTJ Children →
This article reminded me of all sorts of interesting memories from my childhood. One summer, when I was 11 years old, I had the opportunity to be part of a student ambassador program which sent me and a group of kids out to California’s unique redwood forests and headlands. Every kid out of the 36 of us that went, at one point during the two week interval, broke down and bawled due to...

meta-maieutics: elijahlain replied to your post: too real, man. And this is why independence and individualism are hallmarks of INTJs. “I just realize how much of their own rationalization goes into it.” — perfect. I find so few people recognize the equal legitimacy of rationalization that… That’s what I get for trying to hastily say something in less than 180 characters! I...

Libertarian Basics
laliberty: Considering your other posts in the last two days, I offer this response with considerable benefits of doubt that you wish to genuinely engage and are sincerely willing to understand (not necessarily agree with) the libertarian position. thecitadelofthebeast: 1. a ) To argue that the govt can never use “use of force” or coercion to get anyone to do something is to say that a...

high school economics... riiiight.
So it just occurred to me how badly I’m going to own my Economics course next semester. I wonder if they’ll have anything on Austrian economics? In any case, I cannot wait to refute the Keynesian rubbish that is sure to have pervaded the textbook. Though, I will regret if that translates into a poor grade. Here’s to hoping the teacher is reasonable!

hipsterlibertarian: And that’s why we need to audit and/or end the Fed. Well, you know, one of the reasons. And just to be clear, the reason I’m referencing is that they cause Jon Stewart to kill kittens.

ooh look original content
For every new demand placed on our strained energy economy, it seems as though a new “bold solution” or “innovative plan of action” is introduced in which to counter. Bombarded with these conflicting claims, how should our public officials go about best balancing the complexities inherent in our energy crisis? Well, first of all, that is a losing question. The correct question I would like to...

mold to break
invisiblesnap: INTjs have a characteristic ascetic face. There are two reason for this. Firstly the facial structure itself is often reminiscent of ancient portraits because of its angularity and composition of the features, like cheekbone and eyebrow arcs. Secondly their facial expression is often accepted as emotionless and severe. Their face is usually pale or bloodless. Males often have a...

A Dangerous Precedent →
According to the Fifth Amendment of the US Constitution, Americans are never to be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. The Constitution is not some aspirational statement of values, allowing exceptions when convenient, but rather, it is the law of the land. It is the basis of our Republic and our principal bulwark against tyranny. Last week’s assassination of two...

Design -- Robert Frost
I found a dimpled spider, fat and white, On a white heal-all, holding up a moth Like a white piece of rigid satin cloth — Assorted characters of death and blight Mixed ready to begin the morning right, Like the ingredients of a witches’ broth — A snow-drop spider, a flower like a froth, And dead wings carried like a paper kite. What had that flower to do with being white, The...

The 6 Most Horrifying Lies the Food Industry Is... →
combattant-de-la-liberte: If there’s one thing in the world the food industry is dead set against, it’s allowing you to actually maintain some level of control over what you eat.  See, they have this whole warehouse full of whatever they bought last week when they were drunk that they need to get rid of — and they will do so by feeding it all to you. And it doesn’t matter how many pesky...
